A tractor drawbar attachment consists of a plate 17 secured to the tractor and a frame 23 having a member 24 pivotable about a pin 21. A swingable frame 23 carrying a readily detachable drawbar 35 is pinned to the frame 23 at 37 and can be adjustably fixed in position by pins 30 passing through selected aligned holes in the frame 23 between plates 27 and 28. A locking pin 32 passes between holes 33 in side plates 31 of frame 23 and the lugs 34 on plate 17. This drawbar attachment can also be converted into an automatic hitch in that the drawbar 35 is replaced by a hitch hook 38 (Fig. 5), and a latching assembly is added to the frame 23. This latching assembly has a pair of latch brackets 43 and latch hooks 69. Each latch bracket has a latch element 47 and is pinned at 49 to one end of a lift rod 48 the other end of which has a lost motion connection through a pin 52 to a bracket 53. The brackets 53 are attached to the crank arms of the tractor power lift. Each hook 69 (see also Fig. 6), pivoted at 78 to a respective catch bracket 66 fixed to the tractor is pinned to one end of a spring-loaded rod 70 the other end of which is pin-connected at 79 to a crank 71; each crank 71 being secured to a common shaft 72 having a handle 77. The hook 69 can engage the latch elements 47 and thus the assembly can raise the frame 23 from a lower position so that the hook 38 engages an eye on the implement. In an extension of the automatic hitch when the hitch-hook is required to be placed more rearwardly, the hook 38 is replaced by an extended hook bar.
