Abstract

1,224,027. Road marker studs. G. GUBELA. 18 March, 1968 [18 March, 1967], No. 12897/68. Heading E1G. A plastics road stud, Fig. 4, shown inverted, has two rebated rectangular plastics reflector plates 11 wedged in grooved openings 14, 14a in its underside. The wedging is achieved either by separate wedges, Figs. 6, 7 (not shown) or by using a wedge-shaped reflector 26, Fig. 8. The pyramids or prisms of the reflector 26 are coated with chrome or nickel 27 and covered by a plastics layer 28. The underside of the stud has a pattern of depressions for adhering it to the road surface, and may also be provided with a barbed anchoring shaft.
