1,223,268. Kennels. J. E. CHAPPLE. 22 Jan., 1970 [26 Oct., 1968], No. 50895/68. Heading A1M. A housing for cats, dogs or like animal comprises a series of radially disposed pens extending from a central service area having facilities for feeding, cooking, washing, refrigerating and storing animal foods. Each pen includes a raised bed 5 above a heater 11, a roof vent 6 leading to the housing extractor fan, a window 7, an inward opening door 8, a flap exit 9 leading to a run 3 the exit door 12 of which can be automatically unlocked by fire alarm and detection means.
