Heading A5B. A composition suitable for oral administration comprises a mixture of bismuth subnitrate and sucrose having the following particle sizes: 100% of the particles are of smaller size than 15 microns; more than 15% are smaller than 5 microns; more than 25% are smaller than 6 microns and at least 10% are smaller than 3 microns. The mixture is obtained by grinding bismuth subnitrate and sucrose in a volatile non-toxic solvent as grinding medium.
