Abstract

1,219,766. Tube connections. SELF-CHANGING GEARS Ltd. 9 April, 1968 [13 April, 1967], No. 16996/67. Heading F2G. A multiplicity of soft metal or plastic tubes 2, enclosed in a sheath 1 of plastic material which may be armoured with metallic wire or tape, are connected to a fluid transmitter or receiver 7 having a similar number of associated fluid passages by means of a plate 3, which is apertured to receive the projecting ends of the tubes 2 individually for securing by adhesive 4, and a tapering sleeve 5 which is moulded on to the assembly so as to encase the tubes, except for the extreme ends projecting beyond the plate, the plate and part of the sheath 1. The assembly is then secured by bolts 9 to the member 7, sealing of the individual tubes being ensured by 0-rings 8.
