1,218,346. Rear-view mirrors. H. P. SMALLBONE. 26 Sept., 1968 [28 Sept., 1967], No. 44204/67. Heading B7J. A wing mirror for a road vehicle having a device for cleaning the reflector surface comprises a circular reflector 14 rotatably mounted on a hollow support stem 12 inside which are mounted racks 16 and 17 on opposite sides of, and engaging, a pinion 15 attached to the reflector, the rack 16 being displaceable by cable or like means under the control of the driver to rotate the reflector 14 and its pinion and thereby displace rack 17 to move a wiper blade 18 connected thereto to a position to overlie and wipe the rotating reflector.
