Abstract
1,218,164. Non-expansible bracelets. P. A. DEROBERT, M. M. DEROBERTGENOUD [trading as ETABS INDUSTRIELS PIERRE A. DEROBERT & CIE]. 15 March, 1969, No. 13734/69. Heading A3H. A bracelet is composed of interfitting elements 8 connected by at least one flexible strand (9), Fig. 1 (not shown), passing through them the elements pivoting with respect to one another at a pivoting axis through which the strand or strands pass, the hinge means comprising a semicylindrical boss 1 on one element, engaging in a rounded groove 3 of the next. An inclined plane 5 on one face of each element allows the bracelet to be flexed. Bores 6 and 7 may be of slightly smaller diameter than that of the strand, or alternatively one or more of the bores may be screw threaded enabling a cable to be screwed through each element. The elements may be solid to allow deep ornamentation or shaping by external machining, by extrusion or lamination.
