In a method of joining construction parts such as tunnel sections 1, 2 under water by using two or more packings 3, 4 which effect a provisional seal between the tunnel sections, cement mortar is injected into the space between the packings and water is removed from between the tunnel sections after the cement mortar has at least partly hardened. In the embodiment shown water between the packings is removed through pipe 24 during the injection of .the cement mortar.
