Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel anilinoalkanohydroxamic acid derivatives of the formula wherein A is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbyl radical; R 1 and R 2 , which may be the same or different each are H or alkyl; and X is H, halogen, NO 2 , alkylthio or optionally substituted alkyl are prepared by reacting the appropriate N-aryl-substituted amino acid halides with the corresponding hydroxylamino derivatives of the formula HN(R 1 )OR 2 .
