Abstract

1,217,345. Road bollards. BERGO Ltd. 1 March, 1968 [1 March, 1967], No. 9713/67. Heading E1G. An internally-illuminated traffic bollard comprises a metal frame supporting an opaque casing of glass-fibre or other plastics provided with one or more translucent panels or areas. The frame may be shear-bolted to the ground. As shown the bollard is of waisted form, the frame 21-17#-18 supporting the components of a casing whose front and rear panels 11, 12 have apertures receiving channel-section translucent inserts which protrude to be visible from all sides. The front panel 11 is removable. In a modification, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), the bollard is of rectangular block form, the casing being a one-piece plastics moulding provided with translucent areas (3, 4, 7).
