Abstract

1,216,787. Suction lifting devices. HEMA. WERK LUISENTHAL VEB. 17 April, 1969, No. 19641/69. Heading B8H. A suction lifting device comprises a main bar 1, Fig. 1. to which suction heads 2 may be directly attached. Alternatively, a plurality of transverse bars 3, Fig. 4, with suction heads 2, or cross-shaped bars 4, Fig. 6, also with suction heads, may be selectively substituted for the suction heads shown in Fig. 1. The crossshaped bars are rotatable about vertical axes and gripping and guard bars 13, Fig. 6, are provided on the main bar 1. Resilient mountings, Fig. 7, which comprise two helical springs 10, 11, a sliding base-plate 9 and an upper sliding plate 12 from which the head 2 is suspended by a bar 8 are provided.
