Abstract

1,213,103. Titration apparatus. H. J. HEYL and E. HEYL [trading as GEB. HEYL K.G. GES. FUR ANALYSENTECHNIK], 25 Feb., 1969 [26 Feb., 1968], No. 9918/69. Heading B1X. A titration apparatus comprises in combination a graduated titration vessel 1 having a closing plug or stopper 2 containing a conically tapered bore 12 and a graduated pipette 4 connected to vessel 1, pipette 4 having a conical drop outlet or delivery pipe which is engaged in the bore 12 of plug 2. The stopper 2 may be made of rubber and may have an escape vent 22 to allow any escaped gas in the course of a titration to be removed. During a titration the syringe, plug and titration vessel are securely connected to one another so that the whole apparatus can be held with one hand. The pipette 4 may be in the form of a syringe. There is a reference to determination of water hardness.
