Abstract

1,212,812. Malt turners. ERFURTER MALZEREI-UND SPEICHERBAU VEB. 15 Jan., 1969, No. 2314/69. Heading B1C. In a malt turner consisting of a plurality of stirring screws rotatable about vertical axes and movable horizontally through the grain, the screws are all inter-connected by gearing but the driving power is split between a plurality of motors. As shown there are twelve screws connected by spur gears 1, which may be regarded as arranged in three groups I, II, III, each having the same number of screws and each driven by a motor (3, Fig. 3 not shown) through pinions 2, 2', 2" respectively.
