Abstract

1,212,486. Photographic processing apparatus. POLAROID CORP. May 16, 1969 [May 17, 1968], No.25162/69. Heading G2A. Turbulence occurring during the release of a photographic processing liquid 30 from a pod 28 prior to spreading the liquid between two sheets 12, 14 of photographic material by feeding a film unit between a pair of rigid non-rolling spreader members 20, 22 is reduced by mounting a turbulence - reducing member 40 on at least one of the spreader members so as to engage one of the sheets. The turbulence-reducing member is formed as a unitary molded plastics element having a releasable connecting portion 42 and a tongue 46 for engaging spreader member 20 and has a film engaging spring portion 48, which acts as a weir during the spreading of the liquid.
