A screen comprising corrugated metal bands 2 interleaved with further metal bands 1 which abut the crests of the corrugations, thus defining screening apertures 3, forms the boundary wall of the grinding chamber of a grinding apparatus, so that a cutting and grinding action takes place between the screen and the grinding mechanism. The metal may be spring steel.
