Analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory compositions comprise a solid solution of magnesium acetyl-salicylate in a solid anhydrous alcohol and a pharmaceutical vehicle. Suitable alcohols are inositol and other specified C 5 and C 6 cyclic alcohols. The composition may be in the form of a powder, granules, tablets, suppositories, or injections.
