Abstract

1,211,918. Modulators; frequency changers. SIEMENS A.G. 19 July, 1968 [21 July, 1967], No. 34445/68. Headings H3R and H3T. A modulator comprises a first differential amplifier T2, T3 having a modulation input e, a carrier input f and two output terminals c, d, the carrier component at each output having the same phase whilst the modulating signal components are in antiphase; and a second differential amplifier T5, T6 having two input terminals connected to the outputs c, d. A potential divider P1 is provided to balance out the carrier and a potential divider P2 and feedback circuit CK are provided to cancel any modulation frequency signal from the output a.
