Abstract

1,211,364. Accessories for a grilling apparatus. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 11 April, 1968 [12 April, 1967], No. 16696/67. Heading A4D. An accessory for a grilling apparatus 5 comprises a frame member 1 for supporting the accessory in the grilling apparatus, a food supporting member 2 for supporting the food to be cooked mounted on the frame member at 6 (Fig. 1) so as to be capable of movement between an operative and inoperative position (solid and dotted lines respectively, Figs. 2 and 4), a releasable catch means 3 mounted in a handle 12 connected to the frame member 1 and controlled by a delay device 4 also mounted in the handle so that the catch retains the food supporting member in its operative position below the heating source 9 for a time interval dependent on the delay device and then releases it allowing it to fall to the inoperative position. A second embodiment (Fig. 4) comprises mounting the food supporting member 2 to the frame member 1 and to the handle 12 by means of rods so that in the inoperative position (dotted lines) the second frame member is substantially horizontal.
