Abstract

121,040. Turnpenny, W. Feb. 22, 1918. Trouser presses.-A press for the seams of trousers is made of two pairs of bars B, one pair for each seam. The members of each pair are hinged together on their outer edges, as at H, and the bars are forced together by screws P<3> which pass through extensions P' on one bar and bear against extensions P<2> on the other. Other extensions P are forced apart by means of a spring S. A similar but smaller clip may be used at the bottoms of the trousers to press the cuffs thereof. The pairs of bars may be forced apart, so as to stretch the trousers laterally, by means of a hinged bar A fitting into recesses A<1> in the bars, or by means of bars carrying a right and left screw A<2> actuated by a lever.
