1,210,286. Perfluoroalken-(1)-yl aziridines. CIBA Ltd. 9 Jan., 1968 [16 Jan., 1967], No. 1326/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] Compounds of the formula where X is H, or methyl and B is a perfluoroalken-(1)-yl residue of 3-18 C atoms or a perfluorocyclohexen(-1)-yl residue are made by reacting an aziridine with a 3-18 C atom perfluoroalkene or perfluorocyclohexene. The products may be homopolymerized or heteropolymerized. The monomers and polymers may be used for oleophobizing textile materials and also making them water repellent.
