Lined and coated boxes.-Tubes of cardboard or other porous material, to be used for making containers for fluid, are rendered impervious by coating the interior surface with a colloid such as gelatine, which is hardened by an agent applied previously. The hardening-agent may be applied by brushing or spraying, or may be incorporated in the material of the tube during its manufacture.
