Abstract

1,207,571. Injection vehicle. TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO K.K. 10 Jan., 1968 [13 Jan., 1967], No. 1415/68. Heading A5B. An oily injection vehicle for lipophilic hormone injections consists substantially of (a) from 10-50 weight per cent of benzyl benzoate, (b) from 0.5-5 weight per cent of chlorobutanol and (c) the remainder vegetable oil. The hormone to be used with the vehicle is suitably hexestrol dicaprylate or 4-hydroxy-19- nor-testosterone-17-cyclopentyl propionate. Suitable vegetable oils are sesame oil, cottonseed oil, peanut oil and olive oil.
