Apparatus for use in playing a ball game comprises at least two opposed walls 10, 11 (Fig. 1) which are spaced from one another and to define a lane on a flat surface along which a ball may be rolled when the apparatus is placed on that surface, a ramp member 15, (16) (Fig. 1) extending across the lane from one wall to the other and arranged to impede movement of the ball along the lane a further member 19 also extending across the lane from one wall to the other, the configuration of the ramp member and the disposition of the ramp member with respect to the further member being such that the centre of gravity of the ball will remain between both members, when the ball's rolled into said lanes with the required momentum. Several modifications are described and are adapted for playing different putting games based on the games of noughts and crosses, snooker, cards, tennis and some have arrangements on top for keeping the score. Some modifications have lanes of varying width, the narrower in relation to golf balls used having a higher value according to the game being played.
