Abstract

120,727. Poetschke, P. Nov. 5, 1917, [Convention date]. Boards and compound paper; paper, treating with special materials. -Containers &c. are formed of two or more layers 2, 7, 4 of paper or fibrous material secured together by cement 3, which stiffens the material and renders it waterproof. The cement, which may be hardened by applying heat, is formed by mixing together magnesium oxide and silica and then adding a solution of magnesium chloride of density 30‹ BÚ. One or more of the inner layers of paper &c. may be perforated, the cement filling the perforations. The compound material may be coated on one or both surfaces with paraffin wax, resin, shellac, &c. or with mixtures of these materials. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that. the compound material may be manufactured in sheet form. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
