1,206,699. Electro-photographic and photographic copying apparatus. RICOH K. K. Dec. 20, 1968 [Dec.20, 1967], No. 60591 /68. Headings G2A and G2H. A electro-photographic or photographic copying apparatus has an exposure lamp 2 normally switched off by opening relay contacts 4 of a relay 5 if the lamp is not switched off at the end of a selected period, contacts 6 of a relay 7 deenergize relay coil 3 to switch off the lamp. The selected period depends on the discharge time of a capacitor 11 which is connected to the base of a transistor 8 which de-energizes the relay 7.
