In a storage rack comprising bearer beams 17 with L-shaped end connectors 16 provided with teeth 19 wedged into slots 18 in spaced support columns 12, each column 12 has a plurality of pressed-out slots 18 spaced along its length, the slots 18 being open both upwardly and downwardly and having side walls 21 which are flared both upwardly and downwardly so that each column 12 is invertible.
