Abstract

1,204,551. Cleaning vibrating screens. FREDERICK PARKER Ltd. 16 May, 1969 [18 May, 1968], No, 23796/68. Heading B2H. A vibrating screen assembly comprises a rigid frame 6, 7 mounted above the screen and having depending cleaning elements 8 mounted thereon and contacting the screen, and driving means to cause the frame to traverse the screen repeatedly. The cleaning elements consist of brushes or strips of rubber. The frame is supported at each corner by pivotal attachment 11 to an endless belt, or chain 9 running round sprockets 10. As the sprockets rotate, the brushes sweep the screen surface and are then lifted clear and returned to the starting position. The chains are partially supported by rails 12. The screens may be mounted in tiers (1, 2) (Fig. 3, not shown), and the screen surface may be convex.
