[Also in Division G1] Apparatus for leak testing aerosol containers comprises an annular water bath 1 supported in such a manner that its base is inclined and a conveying mechanism for moving the containers into and out of the water bath. A skirt 6 supporting partitions 7 is attached by spokes 4 to a rotatable spindle 3, the containers being conducted between the partitions by a rotatable toothed disc 9 and guides 23, 24 positioned adjacent an opening in the water bath where the water is shallow. Guide plates (17) ensure that the containers move along the base of the bath until after the deepest portion of the bath where the guide-plates terminate to allow incompletely filled containers to float on the water surface. A curved claw 13 guides the containers out of the bath and the spindle 3 and the disc 9 may be rotated continuously or intermittently. To accommodate different size containers, the disc 9 is interchangeable with a disc having a different number and/or size of openings 14.
