Abstract

1,203,426. Agitating sewage sludge. WASSERWIRTSCHAFTSDIREKTION OBERE ELBE. 30 Nov., 1967, No. 54535/67. Heading B1C. Apparatus for the stirring of liquid and sludge and for the destruction of floating scum comprises a jet nozzle 11 which is rotated about the vertical axis of the hollow shaft 4 by means of which the nozzle is supplied with liquid, and simultaneously caused to pivot about the horizontal axis of the gland 9, whereby the jet traces a spiral path on the surface of the liquid or sludge.
