1,202,364. Slides and carriages; drilling machines. MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. and D. T. N. WILLIAMSON. 8 Aug., 1967 [5 May, 1967], No. 14922/70. Divided out of 1,202,361. Headings B3B and B3C. A numerically controlled machine tool comprises a spindle head 602 movable along horizontal arcs in a guide 603 and containing a spindle 601 which is movable longitudinally of its rotational axis W. The guide 603 is mounted on a support 604 which is movable horizontally along two mutually perpendicular axes X and Z. The machine includes a plate 605 upon which workpiece pallets are secured and which is rotatable in the plane of the plate (arrow V) and movable vertically (arrow Y). The machine tool includes a loader unit comprising a pallet loader 171 for supplying workpiece pallets, and a magazine loader 172 for supplying tool magazines.
