Abstract

1,201,561. Road kerb marking. HULLAND PRODUCTS Ltd. 24 Dec., 1968 [2 Jan., 1968], No. 199/68. Heading E1G. A concrete kerb length A has a cast-in marker strip C of light coloured plastics running for the whole or part of its length. The strip may be of extruded P.V.C. and may be coated or impregnated with a luminous medium. The strip shown comprises a channel with keying beads C2 on its two flanges. A modified marker strip has a third flange. Moulding. The strip may be located in a mould by small pins or projections and is held against the mould surface, or a paper lining, by retractable probes until sufficient concrete has been run in to hold it in place. The concrete may be vibrated, but is preferably consolidated by hydraulic pressure.
