Heading C2C. 3 - Amino - 2 . cyanoacrylamide is prepared by reacting formamidine with cyanoacetamide. The compound may be reacted with hydrazine to give 3 - amino - 4 - carboxamidopyrazole which may be reacted with formamide to give 4-hydroxy pyrazole (3,4-d) pyrimidine, or with urea to give 4,6-dihydroxy pyrazole (3,4-d) pyrimidine.
