Abstract

1,199,123. Steering wheel covers. P. W. WILKES. 22 Nov., 1968 [1 Feb., 1968], No. 5193/68. Heading B7J. [Also in Division B5] A leather or plastics steering wheel cover 1 is wrapped about the wheel and the longitudinal edges are joined by passing tongues 12 through holes 2 (see Division B5). The end edges of the cover are joined by passing tongues 13 through holes 6. The outer end of each wheel spoke is covered by joining together the ends of secondary strips 18 attached to the cover 1. Preferably, the inner edge of each strip 18 is folded about a line 24 and secured with adhesive prior to the joining of the ends.
