Abstract
1,198,636. Container traffic. VICTORY TRANSPORT Ltd. 30 Aug., 1967, No. 39629/67. Heading B8E. A leg support for supporting a demountable body 4 of a goods-carrying vehicle with a chassis 1 comprises a leg 7 which makes a detachable spigot 8 and socket (end of hollow side member 9a of member 3) connection with the body 4, and a stay 10 slidably co-operating with side member 9b through a captive spigot 11 so that the stay 10 is engageable with the leg 7 only when the spigot 8 is in its associated socket by at least a predetermined amount. The leg 7 can be stored (see left hand side of Fig. 1) when not required by removing its spigot 8 from its co-operating socket, turning the leg 7 through 90 degrees and re-engaging the spigot 8 in the socket.
