Abstract

1,198,584. Valves. TECUMSEH PRODUCTS CO. 9 Oct., 1968 [18 Oct., 1967], No. 47806/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] The automatic discharge valve 132 of a compressor (see Division F1) is mounted inside a hollow piston 108 over which a cup-shaped cylinder is reciprocated. The valve controls a port 130 and comprises a flexible reed portion 134 connected by a stem portion 142 to a flat portion 144. The flat portion 144 has bent-up arms 146, 148 provided with crimped portions 150 received in a groove 152 cut in the inner wall 154 of the piston ]08.
