In a liquid level indicator in which a plurality of translucent or transparent rigid rods 10, 11, 12, 13 of lengths differing in a clockwise direction and held in a holder by a pin 18, the upper aligned ends of the rods appear opaque if all the lower ends of the rods are covered by liquid but in turn appear transparent or translucent as the liquid level falls.
