Abstract

1,195,313. Warning lamps. P. ALTARE, and J. DUSSAUD. 21 Feb., 1968 [22 Feb., 1967], No. 8528/68. Heading F4R. A belt 1, adapted to be worn by pedestrians, cyclists or the like, comprises a pair of flashable amber direction indicating lamps 4 and one or more red warning lamps 3 controlled by suitable switches. The lamps are powered by batteries carried in boxes 9, 10 on the belt and the switches for the indicating lamps may be attached to the handle bars of the cycle or to garments such as gloves and be connected in circuit by flexible leads 13 retractable under spring tension into pockets 17 on the belt. The lamps 4 may be of the self-flashing type or be controlled by an electronic flasher or two-way switch, and the belt preferably carries a band 23 of light reflecting material.
