Abstract

1,195,180. Fungicaides containing beuzimidazole carbamate salts. E. I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO. 5 May, 1967, No. 62889/69. Divided out of 1,190,614. Heading A5E. [Also in Division C2] A method for combating fungi comprises applying to a locus a compound wherein R is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or secbutyl and A is an acid of ionisation constant greater than 1 x 10<SP>-5</SP>. Suitable acids are hydrochloric, nitric and sulphuric acids. The compound may be applied as a solid composition with conventional adjuvants, or in aqueous media containing additional acid or large amounts of surfactants. Numerous other active ingredients are listed as optional.
