Abstract

[Also in Division B5A] A ceramic panel for a decorative or other figure in bas or high relief has a series of hollow ribs, the ribs and panel being of uniform thickness. The panel 1 has a ribbed forwardly extending frame 2 and on the back longitudinal and transverse ribs 3, 4. The frame is formed by a scagliola die comprising a bottom 6 and side walls 7: the top surface 6 having the configuration for the panel. The die is filled with barbotine and a layer is allowed to set on the inner surfaces of the mould.
