Abstract

1,190,946. Circlip pliers. E. M. ARTHUR. 5 Sept., 1968 [8 June, 1967], No. 26435/67. Heading B4W. Circlip pliers comprise two pivoted arms 10, 11 provided, at their ends remote from the pivot, with fingers 13, 14 including means, e.g. dimples, for locating a circlip, and having a threaded shaft 18 for causing relative pivotal movement of the arms. The arms, whose ends remote from the pivot are coplanar by virtue of crank portions 10c, 11c, may pass through elongate slots (23, 24) (Fig. 2, not shown) in a member 22 which retains the ends in coplanar relationship. The dimples for locating a circlip are provided on outer faces 13c, 14c of the fingers 13, 14.
