Abstract

1,189,425. Wheel and tyre assembly. E. BOBARD. 29 Feb., 1968 [6 March, 1967], No. 9972/68. Heading B7C. A wheel and tyre assembly comprises a gas and liquid reservoir formed by flanges 1, 2, tyre 5, and an elastic sheath 51 which lines the interior of the tyre. Gas and liquid are passed into the reservoir through the axle 3 and tubes 14g, 14l. Sheath 51 may extend to the axle, thereby protecting the inner faces of the flanges from attack by any corrosive fluid which may be stored within the wheel.
