1,188,387. Preparation of resorcinol and substituted resorcinol. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. 24 May, 1968 [31 May, 1967], No. 25141/67. Heading C2C. Resorcinol is prepared by the dehydrogenation of cyclohexane 1,3-dione in the presence of a catalyst which may be iodine, 5% palladium on charcoal or 5% palladium on calcium carbonate, at a temperature ranging from 150‹ to 300‹ C.
