1,187,226. Cladding. M. J. WOLFINDEN. 18 Oct., 1968 [21 Sept., 1967], No. 43123/67. Heading B6G. [Also in Division B5] Facing panels of the type described in Specifications 1,141,937, 1,187,224 and 1,187,225 are made by assembling a plurality of tiles into a composite unit by pasting the faces of the tiles to paper with a water soluble adhesive, placing the unit in a reticulated open box with the paper lying undermost, applying non-soluble adhesive to a base-plate which is then placed as a lid over the box, inverting the box to secure the unit to the base and subsequently removing the paper by dissolving the adhesive in water. The invention is particularly useful for mosaic units measuring less than 2 x 2 inches.
