Abstract

118,269. Mississippi Glass Co., (Assignees of Gundlach, C. J.). Aug. 17, 1917, [Convention date]. Forming articles with projections on surface.-Relates to glass for windows, lamps, &c. with surface markings to distribute light rays to prevent glare. The glass is formed with a series of minute depressions on one surface. The depressions may be produced by cross-ribbing the glass by rolling on a table with two series of channels at right-angles, there being preferably 30 ribs to the inch in each direction. The depressions are formed with rounded contours as shown in Fig. 2. The glass is removed from the table by passing a blade under it which is stated to produce firepolishing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the table is formed with ribs. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
