Abstract

118,160. Feix, O. F. Aug. 27, 1917. Rotating-tool machines. - Relates to a machine of the kind having an abrading- roller and a presser roller movable to and from the abrading roller. Adjustable guiderollers are provided on opposite sides of the presser roller. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the presser roller 18 is fixed on a shaft 17 journaled in the side members 3 of a carriage sliding on guides 2, being operated from a counterweighted treadle 15 through the rack and pinion 7, 8, and its movement being limited by a stop screw 5. The rollers are positively rotated by the sprocket wheel and chain gearing shown. The guiderollers 36, 37 have bearings mounted in adjustable brackets 43, 48 and run idly, the pressure being adjusted by springs.
