Abstract
1,181,389. Anti-skid chains. EISEN-UND DRAHTWERK ERLAU A.G. 15 May, 1967 [14 May, 1966; 11 July, 1966], No. 22365/67. Heading B7C. A crosspiece link for a tyre anti-skid chain has side faces 7, 7<SP>1</SP> which converge away from the ground contact face 1. One long arm 6a or 7a of the link may be discontinuous, in which case a rivet 11 is inserted. In a further embodiment (Figs. 7-9, not shown) continuous arms 6a, 7a are linked by an integral central arm (29). The link may be symmetrical (in a section equivalent to that of Fig. 5) about a middle plane (39) (Fig. 11, not shown) lying between the two contact faces 1, 2 so that the link is reversible.
