Abstract

1,180,060. Diazabicyclo-octane derivative. GRUPPO LEPETIT S.p.A. 11 Dec., 1968 [11 Dec., 1967], No. 56259/67. Heading C2C. The novel compound 3-methyl-8-(2-nitrobenzoyl) - 3,8 - diazabicyclo - [3,2,1] - octane of formula is prepared by acylation of 3-methyl-3,8-diazabicyclo-[3,2,1]-octane with 2-nitrobenzoyl chloride in water at a pH over about 7.0. Anti-inflammatory compositions for oral or rectal administration comprise the novel compound together with a pharmaceutical carrier.
