Abstract
1,179,529. Toy guns. G. FERRI. 6 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 26909/68. Heading A6S. A firing mechanism for a toy gun which fires caps comprises a cylinder 21 against which the caps are struck, a sliding block 25 carrying a firing pin 29A, and a trigger 31 which carries a lever 31B which engages in a groove of the block. When the trigger is operated, the block is released and moves under the action of the spring 27 causing the firing pin to detonate a cap. When the firing pin strikes a cap, the cylinder is at least partially accommodated in a recess in the striking mass. Pins 21C are preferably provided on the cylinder in order to advance the strip of caps. The cylinder may be rotated after each firing, by means of a tooth on a leaf spring attached to the block engaging with teeth on the side of the cylinder. The strip of caps 37 is fed through channel 5 in the casing 3, and the spent strip may be removed through opening 9.
