Abstract

1,178,505. Gully gratings. P. J. J. WOODROW and M. A. WOODROW. 2 April, 1968, No. 15860/68. Heading E1G; A gully grating 2 of equilateral triangular form is supported at each apex in a corresponding frame 7 having one side 4 adjacent and parallel to a kerb. On level roads the grating 2 is positioned as shown with its bars 10 perpendicular to the kerb: on inclines the grating is turned through 60 degrees so that its bars 10 deflect water towards the kerb. The frame 1 has drainage channels provided by fingers 5, 6. Specification 1,090,212 is referred to.
