A portable drying receptacle for articles of washing comprises an outer waterproof bag 1, a water absorbent member 5 and an inner water pervious container 3 for receiving the articles. The bag 1 and container 3 may be made from flexible plastics material and have handles 2 and 4 respectively. The container 3 may b formed from mesh or perforated material. I use the receptacle may be swung by hand force water out of the articles or the receptacle may be hung up to allow the water to drip from the articles.
